Command Authorization Success…
Wasteland Signal Scavengers and Night Watch Mutants,
Another strong transmission has clawed its way through the static. This time the outpost has locked onto a massive 8+ hour cursed VHS broadcast from Horrible Home Video’s Channel 42 — packed with retro comedy, horror, sci-fi, cartoons, and a heavy dose of those gloriously unhinged vintage commercials and station bumpers.
Lock in the signal here:
Featuring episodes and clips from Pete & Pete, Ernest P. Worrell, Duckman, Monsters, The Twilight Zone, Ray Bradbury Theater, War of the Worlds, Fright Show, and plenty more, all wrapped in that perfect late-night “is this real or did the rad-storm fry my brain?” aesthetic. Ideal for background glow while you’re repairing power armor, scribbling campaign notes, or drifting off in your bunker as the Geiger counter ticks you to sleep.
This one’s built for the long haul — perfect for those endless wasteland nights where the old world’s entertainment still leaks through like phantom broadcasts from a fallen empire.
Outpost viewing protocol:
- Low lights. High static tolerance.
- Keep a blunt weapon handy in case the tape starts showing real anomalies (or just a blunt if you’re not too handy with a weapon – it should ease the pain).
- Bonus immersion: watch on the oldest screen you can find.
Tell me in the comments — which segment or commercial hits the hardest? Did the bedtime rebellion episode awaken any suppressed mutant rebellion in your soul? Any favorites from the horror or sci-fi blocks?
Keep the glow burning.
